Come take a look at our new backyard!!

Here at Wilderness Way we have finished our re-model project on the street-side of our building!  To see the final photos and construction views of our new image, click here.  Our goal was to have a nice grassy area between the store and the street, with trees and plantings to surround the mural on the back of the building.  We believe this new look not only helps improve the appearance of the building, but will greatly add to the look and feel of downtown Soldotna.  This project underscores Wilderness Way's commitment to preserving the environment and adding to the value and livability of our community.

Fishing Report

Fishing for sockeye salmon has been good over the last few weeks, and the run is still going strong.  Fishing for trout on the rivers has been good and should be getting even better over the next few weeks.  The Silver Salmon should start showing soon, so get those fly rods ready!  Stop in and upgrade your fishing gear or just pick up a few new flies before heading to the river for those big ones.

Hunting

The sheep season and archery moose seasons start in less than two weeks.  Come in and get any last minute items you might need for the big hunt.  We have game bags, knives, archery supplies, camo clothing, dry bags, freeze dried food, stoves and water filtration, camo backpacks by Alaska Range Packs and Kelty.  Need to re-waterproof old gear or boots?  We've got stuff for that too. 

While you are in to see us, be sure to take time to check out our newest arrival- Sitka Gear.  This is the most technical hunting clothing out there, and will keep you warm and dry as well as camouflaged.  It's the small things that matter, and this new Sitka Gear has a lot of great details.

Archery

Our new indoor archery range is open and doing great! 

Come in and try out our new 4-lane indoor archery range, conveniently located in the basement level of Wilderness Way Sporting Goods.  We still have a few finishing touches to add to the range, but if you're ready for some serious pre-season archery practice or just want to get in a little shooting during bad weather, come on in and try out our new facilities! 

Our Archery Pro Shop is now fully set up and stocked as well, so come on in and let Brian, the owner and head archer of Wilderness Way, help you get your equipment ready for the shooting season.  

New Arrivals
Mountain Hardwear:  Our new shipment of Mountain Hardwear should be arriving next week, so come in and take a look at the new styles.  Look for the new arrivals from The North Face and Patagonia by mid August.
